Operating principle

This machine type is used for solid-liquid separation of materials. The bowl rotatesin the same direction as the spiral, but at a different speed. Material is fed into thebowl through the feed pipe. With the centrifugal force, the solid phase materialsdeposit on the bowl wall and form a sediment layer The liquid phase materialsforms a liquid phase ring and a solid phase layer and a liquid phase layer successive-ly from the bowl wall to the inward. The liquid phase then is discharged out throughthe bowl’ s centripetal pump at the large end.
